Rapti Academy of Health Sciences (RAHS) is an autonomous government medical institution established in 2017 by the Government of Nepal. Located in Ghorahi, Dang, the academy was created to improve healthcare services and medical education in Nepal's western region.
The MBBS program is conducted entirely in English and follows international medical education standards. Students receive extensive clinical training at the RAHS Teaching Hospital, gaining practical experience in medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology, emergency medicine, and other specialties.
RAHS is recognized by the Nepal Medical Council and listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools, making it eligible for Indian students who qualify under NMC guidelines. The academy offers experienced faculty, modern laboratories, digital classrooms, a well-stocked library, hostel accommodation, and research opportunities. The MBBS course duration is 5.5 years, including the compulsory internship.
